SAN SALVADOR, EL SALVADOR

El Salvador,
is a country known for its beautiful beaches, mountains and volcanoes. It currently has a steadily growing economy, but natural disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes have hindered its progress. El Salvador is among the most impovershed countries in Latin America. In response to a significant need, The Global Smile Foundation will travel to San Salvador, the capital city, to perform corrective cleft lip and microtia procedures as well as pediatric dental procedures.

GUAYAQUIL, ECUADOR

Guayaquil,
is Ecuador’s main port and is also the largest city in the country. It has a population of over 3 million people, yet access to medical care if very limited. The Global Smile Foundation will be sponsored by the Nahim Isaias Foundation, an Ecuadorian non-profit group. Our team will dedicate one week to providing medical and dental healthcare to the needy patient population.

TRUJILLO, PERU

Trujillo,
is the most important economic center of northern Peru, but it is extremely under-served medically. A tremendous amount of patients require care due to a lack of access to surgical care in the northern mountain regions of Peru. The Global Smile team will be providing corrective cleft procedures at Hospital Victor Lazarte Echegaray.

The Republic of the Ivory Coast, on the south coast of the western bulge of Africa, is bordered to the north by Mali and Burkina Faso, to the east by Ghana, to the south the Gulf of Guinea of the Atlantic Ocean and to the west by Liberia and Guinea.
