We originally met Suri and her mother in 2019 when they came to our March outreach program in Ecuador. Suri was born with a cleft lip and palate. Her mother heard about GSF and GSF-Ecuador from a friend and brought her 5-month old daughter for a cleft lip surgery.
The team was delighted to see Suri and her mom again during our most recent September program. At almost 3 years old, Suri has grown up so much and was ready to undergo a cleft lip repair. Happy and healthy smiles like Suri’s remind us of why providing comprehensive cleft care for our patients is so important!
