Global Smile Foundation (GSF) medical missions are staffed by volunteers who are dedicated and highly-skilled. One such individual is Dr. Babak Azizzadeh, who lives in Los Angeles, CA and is considered an international expert in facial plastic surgery. He joined a team of more than 40 volunteers who gave their time and expertise to transform lives during the March trip Guayaquil, Ecuador. Industry news site Bio-Medicine recently published an article about Dr. Azizzadeh’s trip.
“I am very happy to have the ability to provide my expertise for the underserved community in Ecuador. Cleft issues can often leave families in disarray in those communities and being able to give back to those communities is an important part of being a physician and doctor,” said Dr. Azizzadeh. “With The Global Smile Foundation, I can empower patients and provide the highest standard of care to those who are most in need.”
In the past, Dr. Azizzadeh has served with The Global Smile Foundations on missions to underserved populations. His philanthropic efforts have allowed him and his practice to give back to the local community and the world at-large.
